WHAT DOES "DISCOVERY" MEAN EXACTLY?

We're accepting all types of genres! Even though the festival's theme is "Cosmic Voyage," our film challenge is centered around a noun that can be up to your own interpretation! "DISCOVERY" can be a place, an item, or even a feeling such as self-discovery. Ultimately we encourage you to create a film that not only fits the theme, but a film that can live on beyond our festival that you and your team can continue to celebrate and be proud of!

SUBMISSION TIMELINE

MILESTONE #1 - COMPLETED

FILMMAKER REGISTRATION:

Apply and notify us before August 23rd on if we'll anticipate a preview of your film on Sun. Sept 6th!

MILESTONE #2

FILM PREVIEW DEADLINE:

Sun. Sept 6th, 12 PM PT

*This will be our official selection phase. Rough Cuts can be submitted! All original concepts are more likely to be admitted first, but will undergo supervision before selection. Once SELECTED, then filmmakers will be given an additional 2 weeks to finalize their film in post-production and submit a final copy at the next milestone.

MILESTONE #3

FINAL POLISHED FILM DELIVERY:

Sun. September 20th, 11:59 PM PT

This registration form is FREE. Only films that are OFFICIAL SELECTIONS will be issued a $25 Filmmaker Fee in order to screen at our festival.

Deliverables for your film:

Delivered through a shareable link (Ex. Google Drive, Dropbox, We-Transfer etc), all film submissions must be accompanied by the following:

Film Delivery
- In the credits: Include Eccentric Artists Logo stating "This film was made for the 2026 Shameless Plug: Film Challenge Showcase"
- If the film was previously made, then you DO NOT need to include our logo in the credits. ONLY original films made for the showcase.

f no marketing materials are given, we will select a still from your film on our end. However if you'd like to make one, but need more time on those—we can temporarily place one that we selected and can update later! Let us know!

SUBMISSION AGREEMENTS

I understand this submission does not guarantee me an official spot at the 2026 Shameless Plug Arts Festival. All submissions will be thoroughly reviewed by Eccentric Artists and will undergo an official selection process.
*Please note that original films that were made specifically for our theme and film challenge in mind will get screening priority over films that were premade — but will still undergo revision to deem if the subject/content is appropriate to screen at our event.
I understand that if my film is an OFFICIAL SELECTION, that Eccentric Artists will be issuing a $25 Filmmaker Fee in order for me to screen and participate in the Film Challenge Showcase screening.
- This payment will be issued by Eccentric Artists after you've received an email from us accepting your film.
I understand that Shameless Plug Arts Festival is a FREE EVENT and a friendly, collaborative space.
As a Filmmaker, I understand that schedule changes may occur leading up to the Festival and that I will be notified if anything changes.

FESTIVAL EXPECTATIONS:

I understand if my film is selected that it will screen on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3RD at FERGUSONS DOWNTOWN.
I am aware that there will be a Q&A after the screening
Awards will be given after the Q&A for both Audience Award and 1st/2nd/3rd Place. A cash prize will be awarded to 1st Place.
I understand that I have an obligation to meet all milestone deadlines. If I am no longer abe to make a film, I will be sure to communicate that I will no longer be participating.
