About Jackie —
Jackie is a photographer, collage artist, director, screenwriter, and producer in Las Vegas. She discovered her love for filmmaking when she was five years old watching Grease (1978) over and over again. That’s when she knew filmmaking was her first love. Jackie also grew up with a love of magazines which fueled the discovery of collage making that she incorporates into her photography. Jackie started her film career in late 2018 and wrote and directed her first short film Hostage by June 2019. She has produced films, such as, Elle est Belle (2021) she also was the writer on that project. She found interest in creative producing while creating her own photography concepts and having a love for helping other creatives. Jackie hopes to help other upcoming creatives and filmmakers find their voices and learn to have fun and explore their art without being hard on themselves. She wants to cultivate art that is thought provoking, exciting, and inspiring. She believes it’s better when you live life outside the box and your path as an artist isn’t linear.

Selection Statement
Upon meeting Jackie for the first time, it was apparent to us how passionate she was about the art she creates. Whether it’s photography, filmmaking, or fashion, she has an eye for style. Her vibrant choices make her art unique to herself -- from the bold colors and specific aesthetics to her edits, she creates pieces that can range from one theme to another in a seamless way. As the current president of Cinefemmes, a group that empowers female filmmakers at UNLV, Jackie has created more events that strengthen and give back to the community. She is currently developing her first feature-length film Karla, the Woman, that she plans to shoot in early 2023. Jackie and Eccentric Artists share the same dream of wanting to help upcoming creatives find their voice and explore art without being hard on themselves.
