Shameless Social: a Speed-Networking event

Shameless Social is a space where we hold rapid fire introductions to inspire future collaborations! This is a great way to accompany our upcoming Shameless Plug Arts Festival (9/20) by sparking connections prior, and possibly showcase your work at our fest!

Attendee Prep:

• You must RSVP ahead of time due to limited capacity, a waitlist option is available in case a spot becomes available.

• Bring a convenient way to exchange info: Business card, QR code, etc.

• Have a 30 second pitch in mind to introduce yourself, or current projects you are seeking collaborations on

Check-in Process:

• SIGN-IN under either Green or Red (WRISTBANDS PROVIDED)

  • We encourage attendees who have friends with them to be assigned the same color, so they are guaranteed to meet new filmmakers for each round.

  • Note that you will be meeting people that is the opposite color, so keep that in mind when signing up!

• NAME TAG will be provided along with wristband.

Event Rules:

• Check-in begin between 12:30 - 1:30 PM: 2 different colors will be assigned to each filmmakers (green/red)

• Rounds will begin promptly at 1:30 PM.

  • GUESTS MUST be seated by 1:15 PM (View our schedule below for a breakdown of our event)

• Red will remain seated, and Green will be the one rotating.

• Each round will be roughly 7 minutes long (depending on how many pairings we could do).

• A 1-minute warning will be given, to let people know they will be switching soon.

Film Challenge Showcase:

This year's theme is "Summer Vacation" and we're accepting all types of genres! Even though the festival's main theme is "Camp," our film challenge is open to all the possibilities of any type of summer film! You could make a road trip or slice of life short film, or shoot your very own White Lotus vacation. Into horror? How about Friday the 13th or I Know What You Did Last Summer? Do you want to express your inner Wes Anderson to blend in a Moonrise Kingdom vibe? Go ahead! Summer heartbreak? Sure!

*Note: You do not need to be a participant of Shameless Plus Arts Festival in order to join this event, it is open to all filmmakers!
