Open Mic

Our sign-up list for Open Mic will open at 3:30 PM sharp at the Eccentric Artists Booth (located at the Roof Top)! First come, first served—you will be screened ahead of time. Acts to begin as soon as 4:00 PM

Each performance slot is seven minutes, or two songs of reasonable duration for musicians. Our Stage Manager will signal you when you have 1 minute remaining—help us by staying on target & on schedule for your fellow participants.

How to prepare:

1. Come self contained with your own acoustic instruments etc.. Only speakers, two mics with stands, and audio playback plug-ins will be provided to you.

2. Sign-ups are FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, which means you must arrive early if you'd like to make it on the list. Doors open at 3 PM, and the list goes up on 3:30 PM.

What to expect when you sign-up in-person:

Our Eccentric Artists team will screen your act and have you read through the guidelines, when approved you will then select your slot to sign up for.

Rules to follow:

1. REMEMBER YOUR PLACEMENT on the sign-up sheet and be on standby.

2. When you are 1 or 2 placements away from performing, let our Stage Manager know the requirements of your set up in advance (acoustin, audio playback etc). We are on a set time schedule, so please don't cut into anyone else's time with lack of preparation and consideration.

3. Be respectful to those who are performing. It takes courage to come up and share authentically. Shower them in encouragement and support, please no heckling.

4. For equipment provided to you—respectfully treat it as if it were your own, and return it in the same condition as it was given to you.

5. Be authentic with care, and assertive with sensitivity. We kindly request our participants keep their performances free from hate speech/derogatory remarks.
