Ray's Journaling Workshop

Workshop Objective:

In this workshop, learn what it means to document and create tangible memories through the art of journaling. Get hands on with stickers, instant photos, and ephemera to create stories out of the simplest items. For those new to journaling, this workshop will teach you that journaling can go beyond words on paper. For those who are familiar with journaling, this will teach you how to incorporate visuals so a memory could live on.

Personal Bio:

Ray Bernadas is a creative based in Las Vegas. He specializes in digital and print design. Beyond graphics, he spends his time journaling in cafes and thrifting for vintage staples. (Visit Dear.Ray on TikTok where he shares his journal spreads and thrift finds).

For the past five years, I have been working for a small company that operates well-beloved restaurants in Las Vegas. Gabi Coffee & Bakery and Hobak Korean BBQ are our most well-known spots. To summarize what I do, I design and manage all visuals of these restaurants. Take Gabi Coffee & Bakery, for example! All the menus, posters, photography, interior design, social media, and even the packaging are planned and designed by me, with help from my co-designer.

Dear. Ray (Tiktok Bio):

Dear.Ray was started during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to create without taking everything too seriously. Short-form content was being introduced and I used tiktok as an outlet to express my admiration for old movies, fashion, and journaling.

Upon making my account, I was introduced to a supportive community that also held the same interest, and I even met some of my closest friends through the app! A lot has changed over the years, and my interests have blossomed into how it is now, but I still use the app to document my outfits and make short-form journal content.
